Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series are flowing more and more rapidly. The flagship family is scheduled to be released in January 2024 at a launch event held in San Jose, United States.
Most recently, veteran tipster @Tech_Reve revealed the toughness of the Exynos 2400 chipset which is predicted to be equipped on the regular Samsung Galaxy S24 and Plus in several markets.
For information, for the Galaxy S24 Ultra variant, it seems that Samsung will continue to use the latest chip from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
According to @Tech_Reve, “the capabilities of the Exynos 2400 will surpass the performance of the Apple A17 Pro”. It is known that the A17 Pro chip is used in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, which are the most premium variants of the iPhone 15 series.
The Exynos 2400 is Samsung’s internal chip designed together with the veteran chip giant, AMD, for graphics processing, aka GPU.
According to leaks, the Exynos 2400 will be made with a 4nm manufacturing process. Indeed, this technology does not sound as sophisticated as the A17 Pro which is made with a 3nm architecture.
However, the chipset will have increased performance due to accumulated expertise in its processing, quoted from PhoneArena, Friday (15/12/2023).
The Exynos 2400 is also said to provide a significant increase in temperature release, so there is no need to worry about the device getting hot when used for heavy activities.
Samsung showcased the Exynos 2400 at the ‘Samsung System LSI Tech Day 2023’ event which was held some time ago. The claim is that this chip has CPU performance that has increased 1.7 times compared to its predecessor.
In addition, the AI performance will increase 14.7 times compared to the previously released Exynos 2200. Samsung will indeed champion AI features in its latest flagship series. In fact, the Galaxy S24 series is no longer called a ‘smartphone’, but an ‘AI Phone’.
One feature that has been widely rumored is the ability to translate directly (real-time) in text and voice formats. However, these various leaks cannot be confirmed 100% because Samsung has not yet spoken out.
