According to the latest report from a Korean media outlet, Hankyung, Samsung’s plan is to maintain the same prices for the next generation of its flagship phones, so that the price of the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be the same as the three S23 phones.
There have been rumors about the price of the Samsung Galaxy S24, as some reports stated that the regular and Plus models will be at the same prices, while the increase in price will be in the Galaxy S24 Ultra model, while other American reports indicated that the phones will come at the same prices as the previous generation.
As for the latest information received from South Korea today, it confirms, citing sources from within Samsung, that there will be no increase in the prices of the S24 lineup, because it believes that it can boost sales in a market that is beginning to recover, while maintaining its competitiveness through… Offering more features at the same or lower price than its competitors.
The goal is to achieve 10% more sales than last year by shipping 33 million devices in total during 2024.
The report indicates that Samsung is able to maintain its prices by using the Exynos 2400 chip for the regular and Plus models in some markets, but the Ultra model is said to be equipped with a third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor in all markets.
On the other hand, the report indicated that the upcoming leading Samsung phones will support communication with satellites, and a screenshot was shared that is said to be from the phones themselves during the experiment, as the feature will be available for the first time on this series.
The image clearly shows that the Samsung Galaxy S24 phone – the model name was not specifically mentioned – supports text messaging in emergency situations via satellite communication, just like the latest iPhones and some of Huawei’s leading phones.
