The mosaic of leaks regarding Samsung’s top-of-the-range Galaxy S24 series is coming together nicely. We already know the preliminary equipment, as well as how the individual models will roughly look, and now we finally learn the information that is key for a whole range of customers – the price. So how much will each phone cost?
Cena Samsung Galaxy S24
Korean server Hankyung came up with information that the prices of all new phones in the Galaxy S24 series will remain the same as last year, when the Galaxy S23 series premiered. This means that Samsung will not officially raise prices this year. But don’t rejoice just yet. The original price can only remain on the market in South Korea, everywhere else due to a different exchange rate, the price can rise, but on the contrary, it can also fall.
If, in addition to the Korean price, the Czech price is maintained, the prices could look like this:
- Galaxy S24 – CZK 23,499 (128 GB), CZK 24,999 (256 GB)
- Galaxy S24+ – CZK 29,999 (256 GB), CZK 32,999 (512 GB)
- Galaxy S24 Ultra – CZK 34,999 (256 GB), CZK 39,499 (512 GB), CZK 44,999 (1 TB)
A feature that will save your life
At the same time, according to several other leaks, the Galaxy S24 series is supposed to have an emergency SMS function thanks to a satellite connection. A new screenshot from a Samsung phone has surfaced online, revealing an emergency text messaging feature. It should be noted that no current phone from the Korean manufacturer offers this function.
The title is “Emergency texts via satellite”, we will have to wait for the Czech translation. There is also an explanation of what this function does right on the screenshot: “If you call 911 when you’re out of range or not connected to a mobile network, we’ll connect you via satellite so you can send an emergency message.”
At the moment, it is not clear which all models from the series will offer this function, or if it will only be about models with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, or if users in Europe will also have to wait with the Exynos 2400 chipset. Apple already introduced this function in 2022 for the series iPhone 14.
