Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Leaks of the flagship HP Samsung Galaxy S24 began to spread on the internet. However, it turns out that the cellphone is not the only one that is in the spotlight.
A series of benchmark scores can be seen, claimed to come from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip which has not yet been released on the Samsung Galaxy S24 (SM-S926U).
In the Geekbench 6.1.0 screenshot revealed by MySmartPriceit appears that this chip scores 6,661 points for multi-core testing and 2,233 points for single-core testing.
For comparison, the predecessor series, the Galaxy S23 Plus, produced 5,274 multi-core tests, while for single-core there were 2,005.
The graphics processor used is probably the Adreno 750 which is a development of the Adreno 740 chip in the Galaxy S23 family.
In addition, the leaked screenshot also shows a higher clock speed, reaching 3.3 GHz for the most powerful Gold+ core, then 3.15 GHz for the Gold core, then the other two clusters each 2.96 GHz and 2.27 GHz.
Collect Phone Arenathose specs indicate a much more powerful chipset, likely built on the latest 3nm production method.
The fact that Samsung and Qualcomm may have designed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 higher clock speed, could mean that they have run load tests and determined that the performance chip will not overheat.
This could bode well for the likely 3nm process of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, meaning that the Galaxy S24 will be more power efficient than its predecessor.
TSMC’s 3nm node yields a slight 15% increase in performance, but suffers from a 30% reduction in power consumption, so the Apple A17 in the iPhone 15 Pro may have a worthy competitor in the Galaxy S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 family which release is expected in October.
