Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 makes Qualcomm bosses nervous. There are rumors that threaten Qualcomm’s advanced chips, namely the Snapdragon Series 3.

Qualcomm CEO, Cristiano Amon implicitly revealed rumors of the use of two chipset versions in the flagship HP series.

On the earnings call, Amon expressed his hope that Qualcomm could still dominate a large share of the market for the highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series.

In a conference held on Wednesday (1/11/2023), Amon said that the Galaxy S24 would be released soon and Qualcomm hopes to secure the largest share of chipsets.

This statement seems to strengthen reports that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will use two types of chips, namely Snapdragon and Exynos.

“Qualcomm has the majority market share [dalam hal muatan]. We hope to take it [bagian terbesar],” said Amon.

Amon’s statement during the earnings report conference call that Qualcomm would secure a majority market share for the Galaxy S24 series was a bold statement, as quoted by Gizchina, Tuesday (7/11/2023).

This underlines Qualcomm’s commitment to providing high-performance chipsets for Samsung’s flagship devices. And highlights the trust that Samsung places in Qualcomm technology to provide experiences to its consumers.

Galaxy S, especially the Ultra variant, has an important position in the series. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the Galaxy S24 Ultra not only promises top-class performance. But also a smooth and great user experience.

Additionally, reports indicating that North American S24 units will also use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset are an important influence and attraction for Qualcomm.

Meanwhile, the decision to use the Exynos 2400 chipset in the Korean and European versions of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ highlights Samsung’s commitment to providing tailored solutions for different markets. This approach recognizes the diverse preferences and needs of consumers in these regions.
