Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: A Lightweight Version with 25W Charging

A lightweight version of the flagship model is coming unstoppably
The certification revealed 25W charging
We could wait as early as the third quarter of this year

The South Korean giant Samsung has a number of interesting devices in its portfolio, but few have managed to win over customers like the fan edition of the flagship model with the well-known FE designation. This was originally used by Samsung for the modified edition of the Galaxy S7, which had known battery issues. It was the success of the Galaxy S7 FE on the South Korean market that led to the creation of a lightweight version of the flagship model a few years later.

Slower charging is standard for Samsung

It boasted flagship parameters, a slightly modified design and, above all, a lower price, which appealed primarily to notorious seekers of the best price-to-performance ratio. However, the currently speculated Galaxy S23 FE had an edge, and for a while it looked like Samsung would end up cutting the entire range of affordable flagship models. In the end, this did not happen according to the whole galaxy of information, and the Galaxy S23 FE is said to be counted after all.

The certification revealed 25W charging

Preparations for the new model are also evidenced by the obtained 3C certification, as part of which we learned some new information. The most important one probably concerns the charging speed, with which Samsung is relatively economical with its phones compared to the competition. The Galaxy S23 FE will be no exception and will only be able to boast of 25W charging, which is a bit of a disappointment given that the competition usually offers around 65W charging as standard and the best in this field are not afraid of power exceeding 100W .

Don’t overlook

Other specifications include a 6.4″ AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, an Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal memory. We should also expect a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh and a trio of cameras on the back, while the main one should receive a resolution of 50 Mpx, which suggests the use of an ISOCELL GN2 photochip. We don’t know much about the release date and possible price yet, but we hope that it will happen in the third quarter of this year.
