Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ Cameras Blurry in Close-up Shots: Solutions from Samsung

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Several users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have reported problems with camera blur in close-up shots.

The gadgets360 page on Saturday (3/6) reported that Samsung had confirmed the problem through its community page for Europe.

The South Korean company explained the reasons behind this problem and the solutions to prevent it.

Samsung also said that a fix for this issue via a software update is in the works.

Through its community page, it was confirmed that the area around the subject looks slightly blurry in close-up shots taken from the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+.

The company also explains that the rear wide-angle camera on the S23 and S23+ has a bright aperture, which makes the background of photos look a bit blurry.

Meanwhile, Samsung shared several solutions to fix the camera blur problem on the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ by taking pictures from a slightly longer distance or holding the phone vertically while taking pictures.

It has been added that holding the phone horizontally or at an angle can make the background appear blurry.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra earlier this year in February.

The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ share a lot in common, including 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with refresh rates ranging from 48Hz to 120Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rate in gaming mode.

Both the phones are powered by a modified version of Qualcomm’s latest chipset namely, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

As for optics, the phone ships with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
