It was previously said that the premium variant of the flagship line, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, will retain the 108 MP sensor. However, the report was refuted.
Samsung is developing cell phone flagship next generation Galaxy S series. The possibility of this phone being launched early next year through the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Even though the official launch is still a long way off, leaks related to this phone continue to spread around the world internet.
In a recent leak, tipster Yogesh claims the Galaxy S22 series from Samsung, as well as several other non-Samsung phones, will come with sensor a new type of RGBW 50 MP image.
Reported from Gizmochina (2/8), Ice Universe claims that the company will launch a new 200 MP camera sensor and 50 MP RGBW unit next month. Samsung has previously confirmed its company is working on a 200 MP camera sensor.
Previously it was said that the premium variant of the line flagship, Galaxy S22 Ultra, will retain the 108 MP sensor. However, the report was debunked and the device is claimed to have a new 200 MP sensor in a 5 camera configuration. The 200 MP sensor is reportedly being made in collaboration with Olympus.
Samsung recently announced the world’s smallest 0.64 micrometer pixel sensor, camera 50 MP ISOCELL JN1 which is intended for mid-range phones. In February, they launched the 50 MP ISOCELL GN2 sensor which measures 1/1.12 inches and has pixels measuring 1.4 micrometers.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is also expected to come with support for 65W charging and the company is reportedly testing the technology. The 65W charger from Samsung was certified by TÜV SÜD in February 2021. It is the same charger as the model number EP-TA865 which was certified by South Korea’s NRRA in September last year.
Last week there were leaks that the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra might carry the model numbers SM-S901x, SM-906x, and SM-908x. Although not yet confirmed, the phone is expected to launch in January 2022.
