JAKARTAInformation about specifications and launch Samsung The Galaxy S22 has leaked everywhere but there is one interesting thing that has just been revealed, which is related to the material used.

Launching from The Verge, Tuesday (7/2/2022), Samsung turned out to be using recycled materials from fishing net waste that was dumped in the ocean. The use of this material will continue to be carried out for other devices.

But for now it’s only limited to the Galaxy lineup which was introduced at the upcoming Unpacked event on February 9, 2022.

Unfortunately, it is not clear where the material is used. Samsung until now still kept it a secret. Complete information will certainly be revealed at the launch event later.

Citing a report from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, 640,000 tons of used fishing nets are dumped into the ocean every year.

Samsung says this fishing net waste poses a threat to marine life and coral reefs.

“These discarded fishing nets are disturbing the environmental balance at an alarming rate,” said Samsung in the official statement.
