The Galaxy S22 is now available in Purple. It is the fifth standard color, in addition there are 4 exclusive color variants available.
Samsung has introduced a new summer color for the popular Galaxy S22. This smartphone was introduced at the beginning of this year in four standard colors (black, white, rose gold and green), now a purple color is added. The new ‘Bora Purple’ color scheme has a unique appearance, where the cool blue merges with fiery red. As a result, the soft purple hue creates a warm color that radiates optimism and friendliness.

It’s definitely not the first Samsung phone which is available in purple. Remember the Orchid Gray Samsung Galaxy S8de Lilac Purple Galaxy S9by Phantom Violet Galaxy S21 in lavender Galaxy Z Flip 3. The new Galaxy S22 Bora Purple color scheme is slightly different than before. ‘Bora’ is the Korean word for purple. The Bora Purple variant is designed with the desire to evoke joy, spark creativity and celebrate individuality.
Samsung Galaxy S22 colors
In addition to the standard colors (Phantom Black, Phantom White, Pink Gold, Green and Bora Purple), Samsung also offers the Galaxy S22 in four exclusive colors. These are the colors Graphite, Cream, Sky Blue and Violet.
The exclusive color variants are available exclusively through the manufacturer’s website and are produced to order. This means that the delivery time is longer (3 to 4 weeks) than with the regular colours. The exclusive models are easy to recognize by the frame color, which is standard black. This is in contrast to the standard colours, where the frame has the same color scheme as the back.
Gerben van Walt Meijer, Marketing Manager Mobile eXperiences at Samsung Netherlands says: “With its combination of neutral and pastel shades, the Bora Purple exudes a luxurious sense of calm. We will be introducing the color for the Galaxy S22 in August, after which other models will appear in this beautiful color later this year.” Presumably this refers to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 en de Galaxy Z Flip 4which will be officially introduced later this month during Galaxy Unpacked 2022.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Bora Purple edition will be available from August 10, 2022 for a suggested retail price of €850 (128GB).
