Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra looks like it will borrow an important feature that was previously only present in the Galaxy Note line. The flagship cellphone that will launch next year is rumored to support a stylus S Pen.
This rumor comes from the Ice Universe gadget leaker. In a tweet on his Twitter account, Ice Universe said he is 100% sure the S21 Ultra supports the S Pen, as quoted detikINET from Phone Arena, Sunday (15/11/2020).
From the leaked rendering of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, there is no visible slot to store the stylus in the cellphone body. So it is likely that this stylus will not be integrated with the phone and will have to be purchased separately.
In response to Ice Universe’s tweet, tipter Max Jambor said the Galaxy S21 Ultra will only support the S Pen, but it doesn’t have a dedicated slot to store it.
He estimates that Samsung will provide a special case similar to the case used in the Galaxy Tab S7 to store the S Pen stylus on the back. Without a storage slot like this, it is feared that the stylus will be easily lost if the user is not careful.
One thing that remains unknown is whether the S Pen can be used in Galaxy S21 Ultra the same as that of the Galaxy Note 20, a slightly updated version, or exactly the same as the one used on the Galaxy Note 21.
Rumors about using the S Pen on the Galaxy S21 Ultra have indeed been circulating before. Even in the same rumor, Samsung is rumored to be eliminating the Galaxy Note line which will be replaced by the Galaxy Z Fold line once the next folding screen technology can support the Samsung stylus.
Samsung is rumored to have started producing the Galaxy S21 line. This latest flagship phone is rumored to be launched on January 14, a month ahead of the scheduled launch of the previous generation Galaxy S line.
From the latest leak, Galaxy S21 Ultra rumored to be using an LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The S21 Ultra is also predicted to come with a 108 MP HM3 sensor for the main camera which is 12% more sensitive to light.
All of that will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and 45W fast charging. The Galaxy S21 Ultra will be powered by Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 depending on the market.
