JawaPos.com – Samsung Galaxy S21 series flagships are slated to launch in early 2021. This is clearly unusual where the launch month has now been advanced to January or February while it usually takes place between March and April.
Like this year’s model, this series will include the S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra. They will go on sale in late January to tackle the release cycle of the iPhone 12 Series series. As the release time draws nearer, more and more details are now surfacing from the screen to the recently leaked configuration.
Now there is the latest news. Recently, gadget leakers Ice Universe brought more details about the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra camera. As sources claim, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with the same camera configuration as the S20 Ultra.
Only difference, the S21 version is said to bring an increase when compared to the 108 MP main camera from the previous S20 Ultra with a single pixel reaching 0.8 microns. At the same time, relying on the new ISOCELL HM3 sensor, the light input can be increased by 12 percent. Thus, users are expected to be able to take better and faster night view photos while retaining more detail of the scene itself.
In addition, the source also revealed that the S21 Ultra will also cancel the Time of Flight (ToF) sensor and switch to the laser focus sensor. Although many parameters are still unclear, there is no doubt that photography will still be the highlight of this device.
On another aspect, according to previously leaked news, the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series will still include the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Apart from the new Snapdragon 875, it will also launch the new Exynos 2100 mobile platform.
By the way, it uses the same 5nm process, and will adopt a “1 + 3 + 4” octa-core design. In this approach, “1” is the super-large core Cortex X1, and its peak performance is 23 percent higher than the Cortex A78.
Apart from that, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will also introduce an iconic accessory from the Note series, the S Pen stylus. But the Note won’t come with a spare like a pen hole in the body. So consumers have to buy them separately.
Reportedly, the new Samsung Galaxy S21 flagship series will be officially launched on January 14, 2021. They will have two versions powered by two 5nm flagship chips, Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 and Samsung Exynos 2100.
