Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G drops in price ahead of Black Friday

The Galaxy S20 FE is undoubtedly one of the best-loved and best-selling smartphones of the year 2021. While an S21 FE is expected and the S22s are starting to unveil, Amazon is offering the 5G version of the S20. FE for an unbeatable price since it can be found before Black Friday at only € 599, a reduction of € 160 on its normal price.

Just a year ago, before Black Friday and the 2020 holiday season, a smartphone was released that was not necessarily expected from Samsung, the S20 FE. No “Founder’s Edition” here as we are used to seeing in some areas (graphics cards for example) but a “Fan Edition”, a laptop designed for and with fans.

If Samsung has been the world number one in telephony for many years (disputed this year by Xiaomi), its success owes it to a very wide range that can suit the greatest numbers and fans who do not hesitate to stay on Samsung products year after year. In South Korea, where Samsung was born, the monopoly is almost total.

The S20 FE is therefore a high-end laptop, created by Samsung to meet all the desires of its fans following the release of the various S20 / S20 + / S20 Ultra. The Korean manufacturer has made many changes, starting with a wider range of colors (6 in total), more accessibility, more storage and a charger (absent from very high-end models).

Among the other points retained by Samsung, many users are not fond of curved screens, the S20 FE therefore offers a 6.5-inch flat screen Amoled in Full HD + at 120 Hz. Autonomy is greatly improved since it can be used for 2 days without forcing too much. Furthermore its 25W fast charger will allow it to fully recharge in just 1h30. No need to leave it plugged in all night as we usually do.

Another change, following strong international demand, the Exynos 990 home SoC is replaced by a Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm which slightly boosts performance and reassures consumers, all coupled with 8 Go of Ram.

Finally on the photo side, the Galaxy S20 FE has a triple photo module on the back with a 12 Mpx main sensor, a 12 Mpx ultra wide-angle and an 8 Mpx telephoto lens. The front camera, or “selfie camera” has a generous 32 Mpx sensor.

As we told you above, unlike its elders, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes with a 25W charger and it has a Micro-SD port to allow it to increase its already well-supplied memory of 128 GB. Also note the presence of a fingerprint sensor located under the screen as well as a IP68 certification to resist water and dust.
