Samsung, as part of its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 presentation, announced the release of the Galaxy Ring, a smart ring that can partially replace smart watches.
There are few details about the device. From the stage they only showed a small promotional video in which you can vaguely see the design of the device – it will be an ordinary black ring with sensors in the inside.
Samsung said the Galaxy Ring will allow users to collect health metrics and track activity in the Galaxy Health app, which the company promises to improve in the coming years. Perhaps the ring will be able to measure your pulse and count your steps. It is unlikely, but the ring may have a built-in thermometer and a sensor for measuring oxygen in the blood.
There are no other details about the ring. The company didn’t reveal pricing, but said the Galaxy Ring will be unveiled “later this year.” We are talking about a summer presentation, at which, in addition to the ring, new folding Samsung smartphones will be shown.
