On the last calendar day of the summer of 2020 Samsung launches its first smartphone with 7000 mAh battery – Samsung GALAXY M51. The phone arrived in Romania in the autumn at around 1700 – 1800 lei, but I could not say if it enjoyed commercial success.
The South Korean manufacturer is preparing an upgrade for this device, one that we know will be called Samsung GALAXY M62. The new model has recently received FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification, a sign that the official launch is not far off. This certification confirms the existence of that giant 7000 mAh battery, as well as its 25W charging technology.
We also find out that the smartphone appears under two different code names, SM-M62F / DS, respectively SM-M625F / DS, hence the idea of using two trade names for the device (it is rumored that it will be sold both as Samsung GALAXY M62, as well as Samsung GALAXY F62).
From previous sources we know that the phone will come with an octa-core Exynos 9825 processor, 6 GB of RAM and Android 11 as the operating system.
