India, Gizmologi – The giant electronics vendor from South Korea, Samsung has again provided a refresh for its smartphone series. This time, it’s the turn of the more affordable options on the Galaxy A Series. And not only one, there are two Galaxy M13 series with slightly different specifications.
At least since last year, Samsung has routinely presented two different options under the same product name. What is distinguished is the presence of 5G support, as well as other specifications that accompany it. Samsung itself presents the Galaxy M13 Series in India to continue the line that has become the most popular in the country—it has sold more than 42 million units since 2019.
The main advantage of the Galaxy M13 Series is in its design which is made quite minimalist, with individual camera protrusions on the back that resemble Galaxy S22 Ultra. Galaxy M13 5G Equipped with 90Hz Screen
Like Samsung’s previous affordable smartphone series, the 5G option actually has simpler features than non-5G, which may be intended so that the price difference is not too big. Seen from the rear body, which actually has two cameras is the Galaxy M13 5G, with sensors of 50MP and 2MP respectively as a portrait effect producer. For the 4G version, there is an additional 5MP ultra wide-angle sensor.
Both have a fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button. While on the front display, it looks identical because they both carry the Infinity-V display design. For the Galaxy M13, the dimensions are 6.6 inches with full HD resolution. The 5G version is slightly smaller at 6.5-inch HD+, but the refresh rate goes up to 90Hz.
Unlike the more expensive Galaxy M Series, both are still equipped with a charger adapter in the sales package, supporting 15W fast charging. With dimensions that are slightly thinner and lighter, the 5G version has a 5,000 mAh battery. While the regular M13 is bigger, reaching 6,000 mAh. Generally can last up to two days of use.
Featured Auto Data Switching
To be able to provide 5G network support, the Galaxy M13 5G is powered by the Dimensity 700 series chipset from MediaTek, while the M13 4G uses the Exynos 850 chip. Both support the RAM Plus feature, the RAM options up to 6GB can be doubled to 12GB for a smoother multitasking process. Takes 64/128GB of internal memory capacity.
Another feature that is featured through the Galaxy M13 Series is Auto Data Switching. The first time in its price segment, this innovative feature allows the smartphone to automatically make calls over the data network of the second SIM card, when the main SIM suddenly loses internet connection. As well as AI features on the battery that can save power consumption.
Both will be available in India on July 23 both offline and online. The price of the cheapest Galaxy M13 5G variant is priced starting at INR13,999, or around Rp. 2.6 million. Meanwhile, the 4G version with a bigger battery and screen is slightly cheaper at INR11,999 (Rp2.2 million).
