Alongside hardware innovations, the new S24 series from Samsung boasts a fairly wide range of AI-powered features under the Galaxy AI label. This includes real-time translation of calls and messages, AI-powered search, and photo editing assistance.
Now Samsung is also bringing most of these features to older models. Specifically, the S23 series, the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 foldable phones, and selected tablets from the S9 series. These are all premium devices from last year that, after the update, will be on par with the new releases in many aspects. Of course, this is within the realm of software, as hardware changes are logically not possible.

- Samsung Tab S9, Tab S9+, Tab S9 Ultra
The new features are related to the update to the new user interface One UI 6.1. The update for selected devices will start at the end of March. The exact timing has not been announced by the manufacturer yet, nor whether the updates will be immediately available for all selected models or will be available gradually.
The AI feature package will also include perhaps the most attractive feature, which is simultaneous translation of calls and messages. However, for these two, a language pack with Czech is required if you want to translate to or from our language. This pack will be available during the year and will also apply to the new S24 models.
The Circle to Search feature will also be fully functional in our country, making it easy to search with Google by simply circling an object. This applies to both internet searches and searching within your own photos. Generative photo editing will also be available, including object removal, repositioning on the photo, and filling in empty spaces. AI will also help generate wallpapers for the display.
In the case of video editing, AI can slow down a pre-recorded video, helping to create the necessary shots. Owners of last year’s models will also have access to AI-powered note summaries or internet clippings.
