Samsung Galaxy A15: Features, Performance, and Price in Indonesia

sinarharapan.co – RECENTLY, Samsung Indonesia brought back its entry-level smartphone by introducing the Samsung Galaxy A15 to Indonesia.

There are 4G and 5G versions available, as well as two internal memory options. The price of this smartphone starts at under IDR 3 million, namely IDR 2.89 million for the 4G 128GB variant, up to the highest variant, the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G 256GB for IDR 3.59 million.

Regarding software, Samsung never disappoints, from low class cellphones to the highest class (flagship), everything is always up to date, and can be updated for several years to come.

Including this smartphone, which is equipped with Android 14 with a user interface from the One UI 6 operating system, so the control panel is very easy to use.

Equipped with three rear cameras with a 50 MP main lens, 5MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro lens, as well as a 13MP selfie cam (front camera), the Samsung Galaxy A15 is more than enough for users who like sharing photos on social media.

The details taken by the 50 MP main lens of the Samsung Galaxy A15 are quite sharp, without the need for additional sharpening software which often makes the photos excessive.

The dynamic range captured is very good, especially when capturing objects against the light, the resulting saturated colors remain rich and not excessive.

The most enjoyable features of the Samsung Galaxy A15 camera are manual mode and portrait mode. In manual mode, users can adjust various aspects as desired, starting from shutter speed, to setting the focus point like a professional camera.

The blur effect provided by portrait mode is also quite smooth and subtle, producing photos with their own aesthetic.

Meanwhile, the quality of the shots in low light conditions is quite surprising. The photo results are still good with colors that are close to natural and details are maintained, although there is still a little noise.

Quite impressive, considering that even flagship smartphones worth tens of millions of rupiah still have noise when taking photos in the dark.

For video, this entry-level smartphone supports a maximum resolution of 1080p 30fps, enough for its class. The resulting video is quite stable even though it still feels a little shaky. The colors and contrast displayed are also quite natural.

Equipped with 8GB RAM, which is quite large in its class, it certainly makes the performance of the Samsung Galaxy A15 even faster. However, how does it perform in playing games?

The first game we tried was Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), one of the moba games that is most popular with Indonesian players.

There weren’t many expectations at the start regarding the A15’s performance in games, considering that this is an entry-level smartphone under IDR 3 million.

However, surprisingly enough, the Samsung Galaxy A15 displays impressive graphics, not much different from flagship smartphones because its display is clear and beautiful.

It seems that this is the service of the Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution (Full HD Plus) with a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a large 6.5 inch screen.

In fact, this cellphone can run the MLBB game with right-aligned graphics settings, namely Super setting frame rate, and Ultra quality graphics.

Quite beyond expectations, considering that not many entry-level phones can do this.

These numbers are also not just a joke, because, for more than an hour of playing in Ranked mode, there was no significant lag or drop rate, in fact it almost never happened.

Since it is equipped with 8GB RAM and is powered by an octa core chip, playing MLBB games on the A15 is quite enjoyable without “stumbling”, it won’t be annoying because it “stops” in the middle of the game.

The second game we tried was the most mainstream first person shooter (FPS) game, namely PUBG Mobile.

A little discouraged because in this game the Samsung Galaxy A15 is only able to set the graphics quality to HD, not yet reaching HDR, Ultra HDR or Extreme HDR.

However, this is quite remedied by setting the highest frame rate, namely High, the setting most needed in FPS games.
