Samsung Galaxy A14 5G was launched in the US and Europe on Thursday. The South Korean tech giant has now teased the arrival of the new Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones in India. The company has revealed some key specifications of these upcoming smartphones. However, the device’s nicknames or devices have not yet been revealed. Recent reports have indicated that the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G phones are expected to debut in the country, after being spotted on Geekbench and the Bluetooth SIG website.
A microsite has been released on the official website of Samsung India teasing the new Galaxy A series of phones to be launched in India on January 18 at 12:00 am IST. These devices will be available in Gorgeous Black, Gorgeous Burgundy and Gorgeous Green colors. It will feature a 6.6-inch HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In particular, there will be a water drop-shaped notch on the front, which is similar to the design of the recently launched Galaxy A14 5G.
Samsung claims the battery will provide up to two days of backup. There will be a triple rear camera setup with optical image stabilization (OIS). Under the hood, these Galaxy A-series smartphones will have a high-speed 5G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. Samsung’s One UI will offer features like lock screen customization, split screen, quick share, and privacy dashboard.
As a reminder, the Galaxy A14 5G launched with a 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. In terms of cameras, it features a 50MP triple rear camera setup and a 13MP selfie camera. It runs on the Android-13 One UI 5.0 operating system. The Galaxy A14 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging. It measures 9.1mm thick and weighs around 204g, according to the company.
Other Galaxy A-series smartphones – Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G – have not yet made their debut in any market. The Galaxy A34 5G is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A54 5G will come with the next generation Exynos 1380 SoC.
