Fashion and technology: a recurring path

This is not the first time that Samsung has penetrated the fashion sector. Flip phones lend themselves well to customization just like denim. Samsung has already presented it with different color options for the frame and for the front and back of its cover.

He has recently worked with the designer Tom Browne to create a limited edition of several branded electronic items that sold out within minutes.

During the recent month of October, Samsung also partnered with K. Pop and singer Bibi to present their glasses. Fun Snapchat Mode who enter the world of AR (Augmented Reality). With them he manages to give a new functionality to fashion garments. Digital fashion designers like Ines Alpha, Adiella Bachshe, Taskin Göc, Aliina Kauranne, Gwen Kim, and Linxi Zhu have created special digital looks for this collaborative project.

Other fashion brands are also investigating their penetration into the world of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). In 2020, for example, Ralph Lauren started a collaboration with Snap Inc. to create items for its line Bitmoji, that consumers could use in their digital avatars. It seems that the initiative offered Ralph Lauren commercial possibilities both inside and outside of Snapchat, through a chat, games, the Snap Map and the stories of Bitmoji. Their clients were also able to purchase their digital models both in physical stores and on the brand’s website.
