If I want to take good pictures, I’ll take the DSLR. For me, the screen is mainly important, the rest of the samsung ‘ecosystem’ grows on you a bit (although I don’t use it). You still have to click away a lot of messages from ‘Do you want this or that program to do this or that for you?’, but you get that with a new device.
On the other hand, I can almost expect that today’s phones should be able to surpass the quality of my dated Canon Eos 750D, and if I zoom in there like I do with the photos from samsung, it doesn’t get any better either. .
I’m not exactly happy with the ‘108Mp’ photos with the S22 ultra, but that may be more due to my usage situation (shooting out of hand quickly). I find the zoom factor (3x and 10x) useful.
Anyway, everyone has their own reason to go for a certain device.
