Samsung Expands Self-Repair Program to Include Foldable Devices – Genuine Replacement Parts Now Available

Samsung today announced the expansion of its self-repair program to include foldable devices for the first time. Now, the program includes both the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5, while the Galaxy S23, Tab S9 and Galaxy Book2 Pro series are expected to join the party by the end of the year. The program gives Galaxy users whose devices have been damaged the opportunity to purchase genuine Samsung replacement parts to repair their devices instead of having to rely on a third party whose replacement parts may not be the ones included in the original device. Samsung says Galaxy users can purchase the display, back glass, charging ports, speaker, encrypted SIM tray, side key, and volume key. As for Galaxy Book series users, they are able to repair the front and back cover, display, battery, touchpad, power switch with fingerprint reader, rubber feet, fan, and speakers. Samsung originally started the self-repair program in the US in 2022, before expanding the program to South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, and some European countries earlier this year. Now, the program has expanded to 30 additional countries in Europe.
