- Samsung has ended support for the next phone in the Galaxy S10 series
- It is the first ever 5G phone from the South Korean manufacturer
- Only the last survived, paradoxically the cheapest
The Galaxy S10 series, which was introduced in February 2019, was (and still is) very popular among users, but recently Samsung stopped supporting it for good, i.e. except for two models – Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite. The reason why these phones received longer support is simple – they were introduced to the market later. But now one of them rang.
The first 5G phone from Samsung, The Galaxy S10 5G will no longer receive any new software updates or security patches, which he received only quarterly for the last year. At the moment, all the phones from the legendary series have it, with the exception of the only and paradoxically the cheapest one – Galaxy S10 Lite. It was launched at the latest with Android 10, so it currently runs on Android 13. Other Galaxy S10 phones, including the 5G variant, have to make do with Android 12.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is still a relatively decent phone, so it would be a shame to replace it just because it is no longer officially supported. If you want to keep it safe and would like to try pure Android, for example, you can try none of the alternative ROMsfor example LineageOS is offered.
