[뉴스토마토 신지하 기자] It is predicted that Samsung Electronics’ next flagship smartphone ‘Galaxy S24’ series will be released in January next year, about two weeks ahead of the previous model.
On the 27th (local time), overseas IT media 91 Mobiles reported, “The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be released on January 18th next year,” citing the Weibo account of IT tipster (information leaker) Ice Universe.
Earlier, on the 25th, another IT tipster, Levegnus, said on his “We will lose,” he predicted.
Analysis is that Samsung Electronics will pursue an early release strategy for the Galaxy S24 to keep Apple’s new iPhone series in check. Apple officially launched the iPhone 15 series on the 22nd.
Recently, Samsung Electronics has been gradually advancing the release schedule of its flagship Galaxy S and Z series. The Galaxy S23 series (February 2) was announced about a week earlier than its predecessor, and the Galaxy Z5 series (July 26) was announced two weeks earlier than the previous model.

According to foreign media, Samsung Electronics is expected to install both its own ‘Exynos 2400’ and Qualcomm’s ‘Snapdragon 8 3rd generation’ chips as the mobile application processor (AP) of the Galaxy S24.
Exynos is expected to be used in the basic and plus models, and Snapdragon is expected to be used in the Ultra. Levegnus claimed, “Regardless of region, all Ultra models are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.”
Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 3rd generation chip is scheduled to be unveiled at the annual technology event ‘Snapdragon Summit’ next month. The Exynos 2400 chip is also expected to be released in the same month.
