Samsung Display Production of Foldable Screen for Oppo Find N

Jakarta: Media from South Korea, The Elec, shared more detailed information regarding the Oppo Find N which is believed to be the star at the Oppo Inno Day event, which was held for two days.

According to the report, Samsung Display is the main supplier for Oppo’s first foldable display device. This device is armed with a 7.1-inch OLED screen, made of Samsung’s Ultra Thin Glass composite material.

This panel is also called an LTPO type with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the panel that is carried by the Oppo Find N is not entirely made of Samsung material. The report also specifically mentions the Find N’s external 5.45-inch OLED panel as the work of BOE.

The Oppo FINd N will also be supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, accompanied by RAM with a capacity of up to 12GB, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging technology and using the Android 12 operating system with ColorOS 12.

Previously, Oppo rolled out a teaser for its first foldable smartphone almost three years after revealing the prototype device. Find N is reportedly a device that comes with a design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold line.

Oppo announced that the Find N was built after four years of intensive research and development and six generations of prototypes, as Engadget reports. The launch is scheduled to occur at the Oppo Inno Day event on December 15.

Meanwhile, at the annual Inno Day event which is scheduled to be held next week, Oppo is reported to be displaying the results of its new developments, including a prototype of a retractable rear camera phone and Oppo’s latest flagship device.

However, these two devices are not the only products that Oppo will announce at the event. Oppo is also reportedly planning to showcase its latest Neural Processing Unit (NPU), as well as new smart AR glasses.

Oppo is also said to be revealing its plans for AI, AR and 5G and will showcase it at the event, as well as mentioning the Digital Human concept on stage at the event.
