In early 2022, Samsung immediately revealed a line of new technologies for TV. There are Micro LED, Neo QLED and the latest Lifestyle TV.
Samsung introduces Micro LED, Neo QLED and Lifestyle TV, Monday (3/1/2021) ahead of the 2022 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States. In his presentation to international media, Samsung explained a series of technological developments and innovations.
The first is Micro LED, which Samsung claims is the pinnacle of display technology with 25 million micrometer-sized LEDs. CES 2022 will display Samsung’s Micro LEDs with sizes of 89 inches, 101 inches and 110 inches.
This new Micro LED has a greyscale depth of 20 bits, 1 million brightness levels and colors for the best HDR quality. This screen also has 100% Color Gamut and Adobe RGB for stunning and optimized colors with a 99.99% screen-to-body ratio.
This Micro LED has an Art Mode for displaying artwork or photography. There is another Multi View with 4 HDMI ports, 4K resolution and up to 120 fps. Then there’s Dolby Atmos audio.
The second for CES 2022 is the latest Neo QLED with Neo Quantum Processor. This Neo Quantum Processor reads advanced contrast mapping, brightness levels of 12-14 bit gradations. There is another Shape Adaptive Light, Real Depth Enhancer and EyeComfort Mode for sharp and realistic colors, but comfortable on the eyes following changes in light in space due to day and night factors including reducing blue light before bed.
Audio technology has also been improved with Object Tracking Sound (OTS) Pro and Dolby Atmos with multi-channel speakers. The new innovation is speaker up firing which shoots upwards from the front of the TV, creating a sound that is claimed to envelop the room.
The third is that Samsung’s latest Lifestyle TV is given technological upgrades for both The Frame, The Serif and The Sero. There is a Matte Display with anti-glare, anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint materials.
The Frame is both a TV and a digital frame in collaboration with many museums and art galleries to showcase the world’s artworks in consumers’ homes. The Serif features a premium and artistic design and The Sero offers a vertical viewing experience.
Samsung also set up an ecosystem for Samsung Smart TV 2022 via Smart Hub with Media, Game and Ambient categories. The new applications include Gaming Hub, Watch Together, NFT Platform and Smart Calibration. Not to be missed are new accessories such as Auto Rotating Wall Mount and Stand.
The fourth is a new innovation for audio on the Soundbar speakers. Symphony’s Q technology is enhanced by synchronization. The 2022 Samsung Soundbar also features Dolby Atmos Wireless connectivity.
This line of newest TV technology is Samsung’s move to hit the stage CES 2022 in Las Vegas. How will consumers react, we’ll just have to wait!
