Today, Samsung announced the release of the next generation entry model, Galaxy A05s, in Singapore.
Although it is a fairly low-spec model equipped with an outdated chip called Snapdragon 680, the announcement of this model seems to indicate a new direction for Samsung’s future OS updates.
According to SAMMOBILE, this Galaxy A05s will be provided with at least four OS update support.
When Samsung announced the Galaxy A24 in April, it revealed that the model would be subject to four OS updates, but similar update support will be provided to the lowest-level models in the next-generation series. I decided to do it.
The Galaxy A0x series belongs to the “lowest price” model in Samsung’s smartphone lineup, and is a typical entry model in terms of specifications.
In other words,Samsung will now effectively provide at least four OS updates for every smartphone released in the future.that is.
By the way, the Galaxy A0x series is a series that is positioned even lower than the domestic Xperia ACE series and AQUOS wish series.
On the other hand, it seems quite unrealistic that “Xperia ACE IV” and “AQUOS wish 4”, which will be released in the future, will receive four OS updates.
However, if domestic manufacturers seriously want to maintain and expand their market share, they should really follow Samsung’s example in this area.
