Samsung Announces New Camera Features in One UI 6.1 for Galaxy S24 Series and Older Devices

JawaPos.com – Samsung announced the Galaxy S24 series last week. With this launch, the company has introduced many new features. Among them are several advanced camera features that are present in the new One UI 6.1.

It’s not just Galaxy S24 devices that will enjoy all the new camera features in One UI 6.1. Samsung just announced that they will be bringing a large number of them to older Galaxy devices.

One of the One UI 6.1 camera features brought by the Galaxy S24 series is a better Single Take mode. It now allows users to choose from four different zoom levels before taking a picture. Options include 10x, 5x, 3x, 1x, and ultrawide.

Previously, you didn’t get any zoom option for this mode. Additionally, Single Take mode in One UI 6.1 can provide more results, including pet recognition. This means you can get better videos and pictures of your pet cat or dog with this mode enabled.

As mentioned previously, it is already present in the Galaxy S24 series. But Samsung brought it to the S23 lineup, S22 family, Z Flip 4 and later, Z Fold 4 and later, as well as the Tab S9 lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has a new long exposure feature. It lets you edit long exposure images via the Gallery app’s edit function. Of course, this won’t work with all the images you have in the gallery.

Instead, you can only edit images taken by activating the Motion Photo feature. This feature is very similar to the long exposure function on the new iPhone. When you take a picture with Live Photos enabled, Apple’s phone camera function suggests a long exposure version.

Of course, you can easily get long exposure shots with Pro mode. However, this One UI 6.1 feature makes it a little easier.
This feature is available on the Galaxy S24 series. It will also be available on the previously mentioned phones for Single Take mode.

On Galaxy S24 devices, you can select the desired frame from a Motion Photo shot. The phone then takes advantage of AI enhancements to convert those frames into 12 MP captures. Samsung has not officially announced which older models will get this feature.

This suggests that any device running One UI 6.1 will get it. Additionally, One UI 6.1 also has a useful coloring function. It analyzes black-and-white images and allows you to add color approximations to them.

Additionally, with One UI 6.1, Samsung now allows users to start video editing on a Samsung device running the Studio editing app and finish it on another device. For example, you can complete editing on your PC or tablet. However, Samsung has not yet determined which older devices will get this feature.

Finally, Samsung allows users to view HDR video shots in social media applications. This feature is expected to come to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, and S23 range.
