Jakarta: Samsung officially announced the 5G version of its flexible folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip. The device titled Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with an identical design when compared to the 4G version.
The main changes brought by the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G include 5G connectivity support, along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus support. Quoting The Verge, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is marketed in the United States market for USD1,499.99 (Rp21.2 million).
The price of USD70 (Rp1.02 million) is more affordable compared to the 4G version of the Galaxy Z Flip, in line with Samsung’s commitment, that it will market the 5G Galaxy Z Flip with a price range not much different.

Samsung also did not change the formula that it carries much on the Z Flip, saving efforts from the R&D division for Galaxy Fold 2. This device is rumored to be sliding soon, along with other Samsung devices such as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the new Galaxy Buds.
The South Korean company will hold the event on August 5, 2020, and is expected to announce a number of these devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. But Galaxy Note 20 is said to be the main star of the event.
Samsung said it did not change the external design in the slightest to immerse the 5G network supporting components on the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. This smartphone will come in two color choices namely Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze.
The word Mystic in naming this color represents a foggy effect on the glass material on the exterior of the device, claimed Samsung is soft to the touch or matte. Along with newer processors and 5G support, Samsung also added other minor software improvements.
On the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung provides it with a Flex mode that allows the software to automatically configure when the phone is half closed. This mode is compatible with YouTube, and the Samsung camera application will also function with more viewing angles.
Samsung also mentioned that the Edge Panel feature is more capable, it is hoped that the Galaxy Z Flip will be supported by the Galaxy standard edge panel and is full of features, rather than limiting it to multi-window control.
