After many leaks, Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Fit3 watch a few days ago. The latest wearable device offers a larger screen, longer battery life and some new features. The long-awaited successor to Fit2 goes on sale worldwide starting February 23.
Fit3 comes with a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen, which is 45 percent larger than its predecessor, and contains a single button on the right side. Also, the new device does not contain wireless charging.
Fit3 is the first device in the series to support fall detection and emergency SOS, where the feature is activated after five quick presses of the button. Once you do this, your location will be shared with the emergency contacts you previously set.
Samsung claims that the Galaxy Fit3 can run for 13 days on a single charge. The Fit3 supports more than 100 types of exercises, but the device lacks GPS, so any activity that involves movement outside will require a paired smartphone for better tracking.
The wearable also tracks sleep patterns, steps, and stress levels.
The Galaxy Fit3 will be sold in grey, rose gold and silver. The company will launch the device first in Asia, Europe, Central America, and South America, while the United States and Korea are scheduled to receive it in the near future.
