There is no end to shipwrecks in Samos. Just a few days after the capsizing of a boat in Samos with 8 dead (2 women and 6 children), a new shipwreck occurred in a marine area northeast of the island, in which four people lost their lives, including two children.
As reported by ERT, 16 foreigners have been rescued so far and investigations continue to locate any missing persons.
The weather conditions in the area are good, which facilitates the work of the rescue forces.
“They threw them into the sea”
About the shipwreck that happened in Samos on 25/11, the mayor of the island P. Papageorgiou.
“A tragic incident happened once again on our island and it shows how ruthless the traffickers are. They count for nothing. They don’t count human lives. They continue to transport people regardless of weather conditions, with no concern for human life, only for their own profit. The weather was very bad and the result was this. They threw them into the sea and left for them to escape. Six small children and two women drowned,” he said.
