ERGO Open 2020 The most titled duo of Latvia in recent years, Samoilovs and Šmēdiņš, won the men’s victory in Ventspils. In the final, the Latvian duo played 2: 0 (21:19, 21:19) against the fourth-seeded Lithuanians Stankevičs / Knas, who had previously noticed Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Edagras Točs (2: 1) in the semi-finals.
Mārtiņš and Edgars defeated Mikhail Samoilov and Aleksandrs Solovejs in the fight for the third place with the result 2: 1 (21:19, 18:21, 15: 9), who fought admirably with Samoilovs and Šmēdiņš in the semifinals, giving up only three sets.
European champions Tīna Graudiņa and Anastastija Kravčenoka confirmed their favorite status in the women’s competition, in which the youngest compatriots Aneti Namiķi and Varvara Brailko played in the equal final match – 2: 0 (21:18, 26:24).
In the bronze match between the Estonian and Lithuanian duets, the Estonian Helena Hollas / Līsa Somets was superior, playing the Lithuanian Ieva Dumbauskaite and Gerda Grudzinskaitė in two sets – 2: 0 (21:18, 21:18).
This season at the Latvian Championship ERGO Open 2020 beach volleyball players compete in four stages and finals. In the final stage, on August 16, the Latvian champions of 2020 will be crowned in Cēsis, with players from other countries missing. The next stage from July 17 to 19 will take place in Jurmala

Entrance to all ERGO Open 2020 Games are free, so fans are invited to enjoy in high – end beach volleyball action, participate in competitions, as well as enjoy good music and cheerleading performances. We remind you that in accordance with the security measures set by the Latvian government, the number of spectator seats in person is limited, and usually there may not be a full spectator stand this year.
