The opponents then escaped in a difficult game and reduced the deficit to one point (6: 7), after which Andre reached 8: 8 with the block. The Brazilians returned to the lead in the second half of the set, when after a successful attack they reached 14:13 and then after the outfield – 15:13. Later, after another mistake, the Brazilian duo scored three points (17:14), but then won the second set (21:16).
The victory was won by the Brazilian duo, mostly due to Latvian mistakes (12: 5).
In the first game of the tournament, the Latvians defeated the Austrians Alexander Huber / Christopher Dresler (29th) 2-0 (21:17, 21:16), but in the second match they defeated 2-1 (22:24, 21:15, 15:13).
