The director of the festival, Randa Asmar, introduced the works that are shown for the first time, as stipulated by the Samir Kassir Foundation, which is organizing this festival, stressing in her dialogue with Ghada Al-Khalil the importance of resistance through culture, hence the freeness of these performances in front of the public.
“Despite the very difficult circumstances, we in the institution continue to challenge and work, in support of freedom of speech and expression,” as the Lebanese actress put it.
