Former head of the Propam Division of Police Ferdi Sambo answer questions concerning the Komjen Andrianto needle who allegedly received tips for illegal mining in East Kalimantan.
“Just ask the officer in charge,” Sambo said briefly after being tried in the alleged premeditated murder case at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (8/11) night.
The discussion about the mining mafia was picked up after a video of a retired police officer with the rank of Aiptu Ismail Bolong claiming that Agus had deposited money.
In a viral video, Ismail admitted that he delivered Rp 6 billion to Agus for illegal mining in the Santan Hulu village area of Marang Kayu district of Kutai Kartanegara in East Kalimantan.
However, Ismail has now corrected his claim.
Ismail apologized to Agus. He admitted making the previous video because he was under pressure from Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, who was still serving as police Karopaminal at the time.
He admitted he was surprised that the video was getting crowded again right now. In the latest video, Ismail admits he never met, let alone gave money to the Criminal Investigation Department.
“So, in this case I will clarify. I have never given any money to Kabareskrim, let alone have met Kabareskrim,” Ismail said in his latest video.
Even so, there is news that has come to Propam dragging the name of Agus. The report was presented by the President of the Assembly of the Democracy Activists Network, Iwan Sumule.
“We ask the Propam Chief of the National Police Headquarters to thoroughly investigate the alleged violation of the Code of Ethics committed by members of the National Police in order to maintain the image and good name of the National Police body,” said Iwan.
Meanwhile, Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) has asked National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo to deactivate Agus to investigate alleged illegal mining.
