Samba de Amigo Party Central is coming to Switch this summer

Shortly before tonight’s Nintendo Direct kicks off, rumors began to circulate claiming that first seen on the Sega Dreamcast, Samba de Amigo’s iconic music series will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as part of a new installment.

Well, now that the Direct is underway, it’s been officially confirmed, as Samba de Amigo Party Central will debut on the Nintendo Switch sometime this summer.

This installment of the series will use the Joy-Cons’ motion controls as the primary way to play the game, and will require you to match your in-game movements to the beat. Beyond that, we’re told Samba de Amigo Party Central will feature online support, allowing you to compete with other players around the world, all on top of a songlist that spans a variety of genres and includes more than 40 songs.
