Nthathrissur: Women member Public Charitable Trust “Samata” has announced this year’s awards. The award includes a certificate, a plaque and Rs.
Kunjippenni (75), a native of Adoor Churangad, Pathanamthitta, who has been digging wells since the age of 30, has been awarded the well.
So far they have dug about a thousand wells. Rekha Karthikeyan, a native of Engandiyur, who received the Central Government license for deep sea fishing in 2017, has been awarded Sagara. Deepa Joseph, Kerala’s only woman ambulance driver, received Sarathi award.
Deepa is also an actress who hails from Nadapuram Vilangad in Kozhikode. He also holds a black belt in karate. A native of Thalassery and revolutionary M.L. Paulina (84) was awarded Ranagiti.
