Samardzic and Inter: All the Details and Possible Developments of an Absurd Transfer Story

Samardzic and Inter, all the details and possible developments of an absurd story

Serbian and Friulian sources clarify obscure points and do not exclude a surprise ending.

The Samardzic case inflames this end of the transfer market, if only because a purchase that seemed to have already been made, with the player who had already undergone medical checks at Inter, now risks skipping permanently. There is a lot of confusion regarding the reasons and possible outcomes of the story, so let’s try to clarify things a bit.

Pimenta commissions

According to Serbian sources, Samardzic’s father had given his son power of attorney to Rafaela Pimenta during the three summer months to find him a team. The agent had set in motion, had found an agreement with Inter and concluded the deal with Marotta, who in turn had agreed 100% of the commissions with the Brazilian agent, heir to Raiola’s “empire”.

According to Friulian sources, these commissions would not be very high, in fact they would amount to around 600,000 euros. However, the breakdown of relations between Samardzic’s father and Pimenta has turned them into an obstacle because Samardzic Senior now wants half of those commissions and wants to re-discuss the deal with Inter.

Marotta instead reiterated that the deal is closed for them and they have no intention of sitting down at the table again, so for the division of commissions the player’s father should resolve the issue directly with the old agent. Easier said than done because relations between the two have broken down definitively and Pimenta has no intention of giving up her income to facilitate the player’s transfer to Inter.

Possible developments

If the father brakes and Pimenta niche, Inter and Udinese are still determined to close the deal, so much so that Samardzic would be training separately because the Friulians consider him a sold player. If Udinese fails to sell the naturalized German Serb, they would be forced to deprive themselves of Beto, with whom there is already an agreement with Everton on 30 million euros (28+2) for the budget, a sale that the ‘Udinese would like to avoid. It is therefore legitimate to think that the matter will sooner or later reach a positive conclusion, but the transfer market can always reserve surprises.

In this regard, a rumor from Udine must be recorded (vox populi vox dei?) according to which behind the hesitations of the Samardzic family there is an agreement with Juventus. Giuntoli and the Juventus club have in fact always been interested in the player and at the moment they would be examining various profiles in midfield, where other transfers are planned (among the most likely those of Miretti, Nicolussi Caviglia or McKennie). Hence the name of Samardzic, given the situation with Inter, is added to those of Khephren Thuram (difficult), Habib Diarra and Sofyan Amrabat. It could be a finale with fireworks also because in Friuli only one thing is taken for granted: Samardzic will not play for Udinese.
