On Tuesday, December 27, local singer Samanta Tīna came out with a new song “Vēstule Tev”, which has a very special and personal message. The single also has a music video filmed at Cesvaine castle, and it’s like Tina comes out, emphasizing her true feelings.
“Although the name of the song is ‘Letter to You’, it is also a letter to each of us, it is an open confession to ourselves,” Samantha explains, and in this song she points out that what we hide does not disappear anywhere, it remains in us and rots. “A letter to you! It is also a confession to yourself! A confession that you have hurt yourself, you have not respected yourself, your feelings, you have not listened to your intuition and you have not listened to what the soul says in front of you.
Confess to yourself that you were afraid to be alone, and therefore the habit and habit of being with someone where love is long gone is stronger. This song is a confession to ourselves and to others that we have deceived each other and believed ourselves. By living this way, we lose ourselves and become blind to ourselves and to others. You have to be able to see it and forgive yourself for not loving yourself, and when you say goodbye to the other person, be able to wish them to find true happiness,” Samantha explains.
The “Letter to You” video was made in the castle of Cesvaine and 1000 candles were used there. The feeling created by them fully reflected the singer’s original intention. “The day before the shooting of the video, I myself went to Ventspils to get the candles, which were kindly donated to us by “Diana Sveces”, bringing with me a heartfelt greeting and the wish that the idea will succeed, that all is beautiful, and that it really was.
Of course, you can’t do without adventures either. There was a grand piano in Cesvaine castle, but it turned out that you can’t put candles on it, so we have to say a big thank you to “Dizaina Park” for the exclusive candles that burn with a bright flame, but never melt , so we were able to place them on the grand piano without damaging it.” recalls Tina.
The author of the music of the song “Vēstule Tev” is Ingars Viļums, but the words were written by Samantha herself, revealing that it was quite a magical moment, because the moment we persistently thought about the words, it was seemingly impossible to find those righteous. “I knew what I wanted to say, but there was no way to put it into the form of a verse and a song. I let that idea go, I went to India – I travelled, I took time for myself.
On my way back from India, when I boarded the plane, my hand took the new pad with my beloved deity Ganesha on the cover, which I had bought in India, and quickly “picked up” the lyrics of the song. This block is also an integral part of the video which further reflects that the message of the song is very personal, special and true. When I got home two days later I had already met Ingar in the recording studio and the song ‘Vēstule Tev’ was written,” Samantha reveals.
In conclusion, Samantha warmly thanks Ritvars Bluk and her team, Aiga Baikova, “Dzaina Park”, “Burtnieki” Abeldarz, “Denim Dream”, “Diana Sveces” and Cesvaines Palace.
By the way – recently Ugis Kugis met Samantha Tina in India – it turns out that she is seriously interested in Krishnaite culture.
