This week it is up to Samantha Steenwijk, Karin Bloemen, Frans Bauer and Dave von Raven to guess who they are singing a moppie with.
Dave von Raven kicks off with the Dutch song ‘Goud’ by Suzan & Freek. Samantha already hears a Brabant accent with the person in question after the first notes. Dave also notes the soft g: ”I find this easier than in English, because then you can hear from the accent from which area they come.” Yet the singer has no idea who he is dealing with. But after asking the other artists a question, the penny suddenly falls to Dave: ”It’s Anneke van Giersbergen.” And yes, that’s right!

Then it is Karin Bloemen’s turn. With the beautiful ‘Unforgettable’ she and the person on the other side of the wall sing the stars from the sky. After the second part, Samantha and Dave already know who it is. ”You have to know who this is”, Frans says to Karin when the performance is over. And it turns out that it is, because she has known the singer in question for years. ”When I first bet, I thought: this must be him. So I basically just checked the rest of the song,” says Karin. Her definitive answer: Marc Bakker. And Karin is also right.
Will that also apply to the third artist? It won’t be the song: Frans Bauer is giving away a spectacular performance with his mega hit ‘Have you a moment for me’. The appearance of the celebrity on the other side of the wall is hidden extra well – with wig and beard – and we soon see why: there is a very well-known colleague next to him. “I think it’s great if you know this,” Samantha jokes to Frans. And you can bet that Frans guesses right: Wolter Kroes is his answer.

Then Samantha can finally take the stage herself. The singer has already managed to guess who the secret singer is three times, but now it’s her turn it turns out to be a lot more difficult. None of the performers on the couch know who’s on the other side of the wall. Samantha’s panic increases. ”I really have no idea. This is the worst program I’ve ever worked on,” she says. While stuttering, she makes a guess: Ron Brandsteder. But Ben Cramer really does appear out of disguise. So after three good guesses, luck fails her on the last round.
