Samantha posts on Valentine’s Day, among other things, the following text on her Instagram account: ‘I’ve been through this before. Tired of guessing. I’m not even mad anymore. I now choose myself.’ It causes many people to frown eyebrows, because is it over and over between Samantha and her wife Daisy? No, that’s not it. It is the lyrics of a new single, it turns out days later.
A major publicity stunt, because many media pick up the text from her Instagram post. Not surprising, since Samantha and her Daisy have often been in a relationship crisis after Daisy cheated. Juice queen Yvonne Coldeweijer is surprised at this promotion. “Only criticize the juice and even file a lawsuit, but want to use the juice about your relationship to promote your single.”
Samantha thinks it’s strange that the media is picking up her text. “I didn’t quite expect it to go like this. I really thought that people would think that I wouldn’t say it like this if there were problems at home,” she says laughing in Coffee time. “It is the time we live in when people have a negative view very quickly. Conclusions have been drawn too quickly.”
The fact that Samantha’s new single is getting a lot of attention is of course very nice for the singer. “It’s teasing. You are of course free to promote on your own social media channels. That’s what they’re for. Everyone does it in their own way. We thought: let’s put a piece of the new text on it and see what it does comes.”
Samantha thinks it’s her own fault that the media and juice channels have fallen for her publicity stunt, big bump. “They drew conclusions too prematurely and then had to go through the dust, like: we were not doing well. There are also media that have not done it. They have thought a little more.”
