AGI – The model, singer and actress Samantha Fox, sexy icon of the 80s, spent the Friday night in jail in London after being arrested because, drunk, she was responsible for a brawl on a British Airways plane.
Come scrive The Sunthe model and pop star, now 56, was on a flight to Munich when she reportedly had a discussion with another passenger. The plane was on the tarmac ready for take-off but was held up at Heathrow after Fox “started the brawl”, sources told the British tabloid.
The passengers had to disembark and were put up in a hotel and resumed their journey the next day.
The police, after having intervened on the spot, arrested the singer and former model before releasing her on bail. She said herself “I am deeply sorry for what happened and for the inconvenience caused“, we read in The Sun, and is working with the police to close the case.

The tragedy of sister Vanessa
The pop star was struck by tragedy in March last year, when her sister Vanessa is died suddenly following a heart attack, at the age of 50. The two sisters were very close as per her law even in her 2017 autobiography, ‘Forever’, in which Samantha told how Vanessa saved her when her father Pat, an alcoholic, attacked her.
“I thought he was going to kill me and I begged him to stop – she wrote – when I tried to get up he kicked me so hard in the stomach that it made me gasp and he didn’t stop. My sister Vanessa heard what he was doing happening and jumped on his back to get him off me.”
It was the latest heartbreak for the former model and pop star – who first appeared in The Sun 40 years ago – that came eight years after the death of his partner Myra Stratton from cancerwho died in 2015 after losing her battle with cancer, whom she had called “the love of my life” and with whom she had been in a relationship for 16 years.

Samantha Karen Fox, born in London on 15 April 1966, achieved great popularity in the eighties as a model and then also as a singer, especially with the singles ‘Touch Me’ (I Want Your Body) in 1986, which reached the top of the international charts of Gran Britain, the United States, Sweden and Australia, and ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now’ in 1987. His immense popularity in those years, however, derives more from his exuberant physique than from his singing skills. A popularity that accompanied her even in her ‘second life’: In 1986 she retired from the world of fashion and began her musical career thanks to the help of Freddie Mercury, who, during a party at Kensington Roof Gardens in London, after a Queen concert at Wembley made her go on stage with him to sing ‘Tutti Frutti’ as a duet. From there she began her singing career and achieved global success with over 30 million records sold.
