Sam Neill sees life differently since he went into remission from his blood cancer

Health – The actor intends to make the most of all the time he has left

Everything has changed in the life of Sam Neill when he was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2022. A stage 3 angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma to be precise, a disease as serious as its name is impressive, which led the star of Jurassic Park that he didn’t have much longer left.

A little over a year ago, he revealed everything in an autobiography entitled Did I Ever Tell You This ?revealing in passing that he was in remission. A book he would never have written if he had not known his life was in danger.

“The truth is, I didn’t know how much time I had left to live. What I had was aggressive. I figured I’d better jot down a few things before I passed away,” the 76-year-old actor told Guardian. “Stuck in Sydney, having chemo, I had nothing else to do, and the thought of having nothing to do was unbearable.”

From idle to hyperactive

Of a rather “idle” nature, Sam Neill now works more than ever, well aware that the time he has left is precious. When he is not busy tending to his vineyard, he plays in The Twelvea legal series now in its second season.
