Rozita Elenova and Sofia Dimitrova are the new members of the Council for Electronic Media (CEM). This was decided by the National Assembly.
Rozita Elenova is a proposal of the PG of BDC. 128 deputies voted “for”, 3 were against and 3 abstained.
Sofia Dimitrova, it is a proposal of GERB. 108 people’s representatives declared themselves “for” this election, 11 were against and 28 abstained.
The two ladies become members of the CEM from the quota of the National Assembly. The CEM has a total of five members, with 3 of them from the parliament’s quota and three from the head of state’s quota.
The battle for members was between a total of 6 candidates who contested for 2 seats.
The other nominees for CEM members who failed were Todor Chobanov, Prof. Ivan Draganov, Kin Stoyanov and Lyubomir Halachev.
