23.32 What a crazy train from Remco Evenepoel!

23.31 LAST KILOMETER!

23.30 There are also the DSMs, but at very high speed the Soudal – Quick Step.

23.29 Great work by Daniel Oss who was at the head of the platoon for over two kilometers.

23.28 Curve at full speed faced by Daniel Oss who is driving Sagan at great speed.

23.27 The world champion Remco Evenepoel also arrives at the head of the platoon.

23.25 Fall at the end of the group: there is a lot of tension in this finale.

23.23 Less than 10 kilometers to the finish line.

23.21 We have reached the three-hour run.

23.19 There is Liam Bertazzo at the head of the group with the Italy shirt, then the Ineos train.

23.17 Pedro Gonzalez fell earlier in the group: at these speeds there may be drawbacks.

23.14 Other teams also move to the top positions: there is a great tussle in the group.

22.56 Sam Bennett’s Bora-Hansgrohe is also arriving in the top positions.

22.53 Gaviria has a great tradition in this race: the Colombian has won seven times in San Juan in the sprint.

22.02 In the descent the group accelerated and was less than a minute late.

21.59 70 kilometers to the end.

21.56 Jurado also manages to take the lead in the second mountain grand prix.

21.53 We will see if this time Manuele Tarozzi will be able to win.

21.50 Soon there is the second ascent to the Cuesta de las Vacas.

21.47 The Uruguayan Nahuel Soarez breaks away from the fugitives and is about to be incorporated into the group.

21.44 A trio remains in command: Tarozzi, Jurado and Mendez.

21.29 Peter Sagan is also in this Vuelta a San Juan: we will test the condition of the three-time world champion today with this sprint finish.

21.26 The group pace increases and the gap is reduced to 1’45”.

21.23 Farewell to the names of the attackers: Manuele Tarozzi (Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè), Bolivar Espinoza (Panama is Culture and Values), Nahuel Hernandez (Uruguay), Leonardo Cobarrubia (Public Employees Union of San Juan), Dario Alvarez ( Chimbas Te Quiero), Daniel Omar Juarez (Virgin of Fatima Group – San Juan Biker Motorcycles), Christofer Robin Jurado (Panama is Culture and Values), Francisco Kotsakis (Team Papa John’s) and Nahuel Soarez (Uruguay).

21.20 To be monitored in the platoon is the wind which could upset the race with any fans.

21.17 Filippo Ganna is also in the belly of the group, who travels hidden in this phase of the race.

21.14 Desolate steppes and dry vegetation: the Argentine plain accompanies the march of the runners.

21.11 Rangel Costa of Movistar takes the lead in the shooting group: we’ll see what Fernando Gaviria can do in the sprint.

21.08 100 kilometers at the end of the stage.

20.59 Three other riders joined the group in command: Manuele Tarozzi (Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè), Bolivar Espinoza (Panamá es Cultura y Valores) and Nahuel Hernandez (Uruguay).

20.56 An Italian has also joined the leading group: Manuele Tarozzi.

20.53 In a group, the pace is slow: there is no hurry to get back to the fugitives who are runners of a modest level.

20.50 The advantage of the fugitives over the group is around 2’15”.

20.47 Ci sono sei corridori in fuga: Leonardo Cobarrubia (Public Employees Union of San Juan), Dario Alvarez (Chimbas Te Quiero), Daniel Omar Juarez (Virgin of Fatima Group – San Juan Biker Motorcycles), Christofer Robin Jurado (Panama is Culture) and Values), Francisco Kotsakis (Team Papa John’s), Nahuel Soarez.

20.44 The stage has already begun: of the 144 kilometers to go, 25 have already been covered.

20.41 In the first stage which sees departure and arrival in San Juan and few altitude difficulties, the most natural solution seems to be the arrival in the sprint: there are Elia Viviani (Ineos Grenadiers) and Giacomo Nizzolo (Israel – Premier Tech) among the favourites, but there are other big names like Fabio Jakobsen (Soudal – Quick Step), Fernando Gaviria (Movistar Team) and Sam Bennett (Bora – Hansgrohe).

20.38 The season of several big names begins from Argentina: above all the world champion Remco Evenepoel and our Filippo Ganna, who returns to work after the splendid feat of the hour record. There will also be the return of Egan Bernal after the various problems that have debilitated him in the last year.
