The Salzburg police are dealing with a mysterious criminal case: a serious robbery could have killed one person.
The victim is missing, the alleged perpetrator is in custody. He was arrested in a black car on January 2nd. It later turned out that the vehicle owner had disappeared.
Cell phone as a possible lead
The police are keeping a low profile for investigative reasons. An important lead could be provided by evaluating the cell phone data of the missing person. The man had his iPhone XS Max with him at the time of his disappearance.
According to the police, it was put back into operation on January 15th. Officials suspect the finder may have turned it on. The mobile phone was last logged in in the district of Aigen and in the neighboring municipality of Elsbethen.
