After the bathing weather on the weekend and at the beginning of the week, thunderstorms are approaching again. A low pressure area is moving towards Salzburg. This brings cool air from the west to Salzburg. “In the run-up, there will be thunderstorms again in the north of Salzburg. The storms will probably not be as strong as in recent weeks,” says Michael Butschek, meteorologist at ZAMG (Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics) in Salzburg. Butschek expects the storm for late Tuesday afternoon and in the first half of the night. “It will be a relatively short thunderstorm phase. However, it can still rain sporadically on Tuesday.”
As the week progresses, it stays cooler with temperatures up to a maximum of 20 degrees. “It remains changeable and inconsistent,” says the meteorologist.
