The French central defender Oumar Solet (23) from RB Salzburg would like to play in one of Europe’s big leagues in the near future. The FT-Partner site Foot Market explains the player in an interview: “England and Germany seem to be leagues that could suit me in terms of my qualities. I like the Premier League.” In Germany he would also like the style of play. Solet says about existing interest from Italy: “It’s very flattering that Italian teams are interested in me.” His contract is valid until 2026.
The former U20 national player comes from the youth department of Olympique Lyon and moved to Salzburg in 2020. Looking back, this step was the right one for Solet: “I love Salzburg. It’s a good club, a big club in Austria. It produces many young talents. I’m proud to have spent all these years in Salzburg.” In what is now his fourth season in Austria, Solet has developed into an absolute regular, having played 91 competitive games for Salzburg so far.
