Red Bull Salzburg has extended Mamady Diambou’s contract until the end of the 2027/28 season. The Mozart City club announced this on Sunday evening.

Salzburg signed the contract of Mamady Diambou The Malian-born player will remain on board at least until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Diambou came from his homeland to the city of Mozart at the beginning of 2021, where he initially played as a cooperation player for FC Liefering and scored three goals and two assists in 32 games. From January 2023, the defensive player was loaned to FC Luzern for six months. Since the start of the 2023/24 season, the Malian team player has been a permanent member of the “Bulls” squad, where he can look back on 40 appearances.

Sporting director Bernhard Seonbuchner says: “Mamady is an incredibly exciting player who is making good progress in his development, but in whom we still see enormous potential. And because we are convinced that he will exploit these opportunities, we have extended his contract with us for the long term. His development with us is far from over.”
Diambou himself says: “I am very happy about the contract extension and the trust that FC Red Bull Salzburg has placed in me. My first years here were very exciting, I was able to learn a lot. I want to continue on this path and help the club to further successes and titles with the best possible performances. I will invest everything in this.”
