Salzburg: Asylum quarters partly under quarantine

In the asylum district in Bergheim near Salzburg (Flachgau), five people were infected with the corona virus on Thursday. The health authority has therefore quarantined the 3rd floor. A voluntary screening showed that two people who had already tested positive are still ill. Three other people were routinely tested on admission. The result was positive.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, there will be no further admission of people until further notice, the state media center informed on Thursday afternoon. According to a spokeswoman for the country, 110 residents are currently accommodated in the district.

In the state of Salzburg, 67 people are currently infected with the virus, including 27 in the city of Salzburg, 15 in Flachgau, ten in Pongau, six in Pinzgau, five in Tennengau and four in Lungau. So far, a total of 1,328 people in the city and province of Salzburg have tested positive for Covid-19.
